Drip Coffee | Brewing

Drip coffee is the most familiar way to brew at home — your machine does all the work. Hot water flows through ground coffee and a paper filter, producing a clean, aromatic cup that's consistent and easy every single time. If you're just getting into specialty coffee, this is a great place to start.

How to Make It:

You'll need: 2 heaping tablespoons / 16g of ground coffee per cup | 6 oz / 180ml of water per cup

(Making 4 cups? Use 8 tablespoons / 64g of coffee and 24 oz / 720ml of water.)

  1. Place a paper filter into your coffee maker's basket.
  2. Add your ground coffee — 1 heaping tablespoon per cup you plan to make.
  3. Fill the water tank with fresh cold water — use the cup markings on your machine as a guide.
  4. Turn the machine on and let it brew.
  5. Once it stops dripping, your coffee is ready. Pour and enjoy.

Tip: Always use fresh cold water and clean your machine once a month. Old water or a dirty machine can make even great coffee taste flat.
