The V60 is a small cone-shaped dripper that sits on top of your mug. You pour hot water slowly over ground coffee, and it drips straight into your cup — simple as that. It gives you a clean, flavorful brew and puts you in control of how your coffee tastes. It looks fancy but is actually one of the most beginner-friendly methods out there.
How to Make It:
You'll need: 2–3 tablespoons / 20g of ground coffee | 1.25 cups / 300ml of hot water (around 200°F / 93°C)
- Place the V60 on top of your mug and put a paper filter inside it. Pour some hot water through the filter to rinse it, then discard that water from your mug.
- Add your ground coffee to the filter and give it a gentle shake to level it out.
- Pour just enough hot water to wet all the grounds — about 2–3 tablespoons / 40ml — then wait 30–45 seconds. The coffee will bubble slightly, which means it's fresh.
- Slowly pour the rest of your hot water in small, gentle circles — start from the center and move outward. Pour a little, pause, then pour a little more.
- The whole process should take about 3–4 minutes. Once all the water has dripped through, your coffee is ready.
- Remove the dripper and enjoy straight from your mug.
Tip: The slower you pour, the better the flavor. Think of it as a relaxing 4-minute ritual rather than a task to rush through.
